ianna
This title sequence for iAnna combines minimalist animation with retro TV effects to introduce the show's core themes of digital dependency and psychological disconnection.
The sequence follows a single charging cable as it travels across a stark, empty space, animated with clean, deliberate motion to create a sterile, almost clinical atmosphere. As the cable plugs into an iPad, the screen flickers to life, drawing the viewer into a distorted digital world. From this moment, the visuals begin to fragment: UI elements glitch, typography jitters, and retro CRT-style interference overlays the clean vector forms — evoking the claustrophobic pull of screen-based immersion.
The muted colour palette is paired with subtle VHS textures, scanlines and analogue distortions, echoing the dated but ever-present technologies that shape Anna’s reality. Type behaves like corrupted system text, slipping in and out of clarity to reinforce the sense of instability.
This sequence sets the tone for iAnna by visualising the disorientating nature of digital life — a portal into a fractured identity shaped through screens.
